The Dodge brand is proud to announce the names of the Dodge Caravan Kids minor hockey teams who have won the top five cash prizes in the annual 2015 Dodge Caravan Kids photo contest. Photographs were submitted by more than 2,100 teams from across Canada who participated in the 2014-2015 Dodge Caravan Kids Program.
Founded in 2006, the Dodge Caravan Kids program is a joint effort between participating minor hockey associations throughout the country in partnership with FCA Canada and Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge, Ram, FIAT retailers. The program provides up to $500 in funding and access to exclusive hockey benefits for novice-level hockey teams across Canada.
Since the program started, the Dodge brand has provided over $6.5 million in program funding to help over 14,000 teams and over 200,000 kids play the game of hockey. “We truly appreciate the energy and creative spirit our Dodge Caravan Kids teams put forward each year for the photo contest,” said Ed Broadbear, Vice President Marketing, FCA Canada. “For more than 30 years, our Dodge Grand Caravan minivans have played a key role in getting millions of hockey families to and from arenas throughout Canada. We are thrilled that our Dodge Caravan Kids sponsorship program helps kids further enjoy the sport, by making it a little more affordable to play.”
The Dodge Caravan Kids Photo Contest encourages teams to take a fun photo that incorporates a Dodge Grand Caravan, their local Dodge dealership or a unique “thank you” to Dodge. $4,500 in cash prizes was awarded to the teams, based on their rankings. These additional funds are often used by the teams to support an end of year banquet, replace equipment, purchase additional ice time, or pay for tournament registration costs.
