2015 Toyota Hockey Challenge
Stratford, ON - Saturday, March 28th, 2015 will mark the ninth time that a team from Hokkaido, Japan – the Tomakomai Selects Allstars - will travel to the Tri-Cities to participate in an annual exchange tour and exhibition game, this year against the Waterloo Wolves Minor Bantam AAA team.

In November, 2013, the Minor Bantam AAA team from Waterloo defeated the Kitchener Jr Rangers 1-0 in a hard-fought final Tri-Cities Championship game at the 2013 Toyota Hockey Challenge and went on to represent the Tri-Cities in a once in a lifetime cultural exchange in Hokkaido, Japan during March Break 2014 with all expenses paid for by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc.

This year, the Tomakomai Allstars will be visiting the Tri-Cities from March 25 to 30, 2015, with the Toyota Hockey Challenge exhibition game taking place on Saturday, March 28th at 9:30am at the Waterloo Memorial Rec Complex.  Admission is free with a donation to the Regional Food Bank.  There will be tons of prizes and a chance to win a fee base hockey registration from the Waterloo, Cambridge and Kitchener Minor Hockey Associations.   There will also be a special competition (Shootout Challenge) that will take place during the second intermission.  Three Peewee AAA Shooters from Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge will test their skill against the Minor Bantam AAA Goaltenders from Japan and Waterloo.
