ALLIANCE Hockey Announces Director of Operations for 2017 U16 Team ALLIANCE
Stratford, ON - The ALLIANCE Hockey Under 16 Policy Committee is pleased to announce that David Schlitt (Stratford) has been named the Director of Operations for the 2017 U16 Team ALLIANCE.

"The Committee is pleased to have Mr. Schlitt on board as Director of Operations with the 2017 U16 Team ALLIANCE," stated ALLIANCE Hockey President Dan Gibbons.  "Mr. Schlitt has demonstrated the leadership and evaluation skills necessary to put a team of players at this level together over a short period of time.  We look forward to working with him throughout the selection process and the event itself."

Schlitt replaces outgoing Director of Operations, Gary McFarlane who had taken on the responsibility with Team ALLIANCE over the past 4 years.  (McFarlane was appointed to the position of Vice-President of Region #1 for ALLIANCE Hockey at the 2016 AGM.)

Schlitt has numerous years of experience evaluating and scouting hockey players.  He has previously been involved with the Program of Excellence; originally with the ALLIANCE Hockey Under 17 POE and as Head Coach of the 2013 U16 Team ALLIANCE.  Schlitt is also an integral member of the ALLIANCE Hockey Development Program facilitating NCCP and specialty clinics.  As Director of Operations, he will assist the Under 16 Policy Committee in coordinating all scouting assignments, training camps and competitive events that the team will be involved with leading up to and at the 2017 OHL Gold Cup Event.
