ALLIANCE Hockey Official's Program of Excellence

The ALLIANCE Hockey Official's Program of Excellence is a bi-annual development program for young Officials.  The program hosts Officials from across ALLIANCE Hockey for 3 days and is designed specifically to provide the Official with skills not currently available in other formats.  Participation is through invitation by the local Zone Coordinators.

Officials participate in classroom sessions, off-ice and on-ice sessions in addition to officiating select games.  Supervision and video analysis is also part of the program.

Officials have the opportunity to learn from the very best Hockey Canada Instructors as well as National Hockey League and Ontario Hockey League Coaches and Officials. Many of last year’s participants are now working at the junior level, with others working regularly at the Midget AAA level.

The 2017 POE will be hosted January 13-15, 2017 in Stratford, ON in conjunction with The Great Lakes Cup hosted by the Huron Perth Lakers.  Follow all of the tournament information and updates on Twitter @GLC2017.
