2019 U16 Team ALLIANCE Staff Applications Now Available

Stratford, ON - ALLIANCE Hockey is now accepting Staff applications for 2019 U16 Team ALLIANCE.   The 2019 U16 Team ALLIANCE will participate in the 2019 OHL Gold Cup to be held in Kitchener, ON May 1-5, 2019.   The 2019 OHL Gold Cup will feature the top 2003-born players in Ontario competing in a 8-team tournament with representation from each of the following organizations: ALLIANCE Hockey, GTHL(2 teams), HNO, NOHA, HEO and OMHA(2 teams).  The tournament is being held to identify potential players who will represent Hockey Canada at the 2019 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge.  The OHL Gold Cup is a key component of the Hockey Canada Program of Excellence.

Those interested, are encouraged to submit completed applications by Sunday, August 19, 2018 12:00pm.

About the OHL Gold Cup...
The 2019 OHL Gold Cup will feature the top 2003-born players in Ontario competing in an 8-team tournament with representation from each of the following organizations: ALLIANCE Hockey, GTHL (2 teams), HNO, NOHA, HEO and OMHA (2 teams). The tournament is being held to not only showcase Ontario’s top U16 talent, but as an evaluation opportunity for Hockey Canada to select potential players for Canada's 3 teams that will compete in the World Under-17 Challenge. The OHL Gold Cup is a key component of the revamped Hockey Canada Program of Excellence. With eight teams and 160 players, the future of Canadian hockey is on display during the 16 games of the OHL Gold Cup. 

ALLIANCE Hockey and the Ontario Hockey Federation are hosting the 2019 OHL Gold Cup in Kitchener, Ontario from May 1-5, 2019. The City of Kitchener has a rich history of hosting prestigious events, especially when it comes to hockey. The city is very well known regionally, provincially and nationally for organizing first class events. These events have been so successful because of the dedicated crew of organizers, volunteers and the local business community who give so generously.
