U15 Program Of Excellence Applications Now Available
CAMBRIDGE, ON – Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) President Bill Bowman and Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Commissioner David Branch are pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2014 OHF/OHL Under-15 Program of Excellence.

There will be five programs held over a three-day weekend in the following locations: Kitchener (May 2-4), Vaughan (May 2-4), Windsor (May 9-11), Oshawa (May 9-11) and Sudbury (August 7-10).  Players will participate in intense, high performance on and off ice sessions and seminars. On-ice sessions include skills testing, two practices and three games. Off-ice sessions include seminars with keynote speakers on topics such as sports psychology, nutrition, and fitness.

The OHF/OHL Under-15 Program of Excellence, now in its eighth year is a 1st class program designed to expose participants to the demands of playing at the Junior level. The program provides various off-ice seminars and resources to ensure participants have the necessary resources to achieve continued success as they make that crucial transition from minor to Junior hockey. In 2014 the Under-15 Program of Excellence will see the addition of on-ice skills testing, similar to that of the annual OHL Development Combine powered by Under Armour. Under Armour is a proud sponsor of the OHF/OHL Under-15 Program of Excellence.

“The OHF is again excited to partner with the OHL to provide an opportunity for participants to develop both on and off the ice at the Under-15 Program of Excellence. The program would not be possible without the continued dedication of coaches, trainers and volunteers who are instrumental to the success of the program each year,” said Bowman.

The OHF is one of three Hockey Canada Branches operating in the Province of Ontario and is the largest of all thirteen across Canada. The OHF is comprised of seven Member Partners and has a membership base that represents over forty percent of Hockey Canada.
