It is with great pleasure and appreciation that we have the
opportunity today to announce a mutual partnership has been established between
the Stratford Hockey Club & the Huron Perth Lakers ‘AAA’ Midget program.
As an organization, we have the capacity to operate a Midget AAA program and compete. But the question that we needed to ask is whether our program can meet expectations and fall within ALLIANCE Hockey’s vision for Midget AAA hockey.
The primary focus of this partnership is to provide the opportunity to play Elite level Midget hockey and offer a preparedness path to Junior Hockey. This will be achieved by the competitiveness atmosphere of the club, which allows the players to enjoy the game at the highest level while maintaining a strong focus on individual development. With a balanced on-ice program & regularly organized training sessions off-ice we can achieve this developmental growth and promote advancement.
Commencing for the 2014-15 season, the midget program will be utilizing the Stratford Rotary Complex as our permanent Home rink and will be known going forward as the Huron Perth Jr Cullitons, which includes wearing the Stratford Cullitons crest & colours proudly.
It is our hope to promote the Cullitons organization while immediately increasing the exposure & interest level in our program to build a competitive team to challenge for a National Championship every year.
As evident on February 17th during the Cullitons pre-game ceremony, the Huron Perth Lakers are proud to have a higher than average success rate at developing and advancing players to the next level and we look forward to continuing that trend for years to come.
