Stratford Ontario - ALLIANCE Hockey kicked off the 2014-2015 hockey season
with the Minor Bantam AAA Face-Off Showcase Event this past weekend September 20-21
in Cambridge at Hespeler Memorial Arena. Each team played 4 games over the
course of the weekend and also attended a seminar on Saturday.
Executive Director of ALLIANCE Hockey Tony Martindale was on hand to speak to the players about the ALLIANCE Hockey Program of Excellence and what great opportunities lay ahead for these young players. Tony really stressed to the players to never give up on their goals and dreams, because with love and passion for the game and a never quit attitude you can make those dreams come a reality.
Rogers TV was on hand for the whole weekend televising all games on rink 1. Each team had at least two games televised that will be aired between the times of 1PM-5PM and 6PM-10:30PM on September 27 and on September 28 from 5PM-11PM.
ALLIANCE Hockey completed a pilot run with a new game sheet system called Gamesheets Inc. All games were entered electronically and uploaded on the Gamesheet Inc. Iframe. We received positive feedback on the game sheet system noting it was easy, quick, and very slick to operate.
