We have all seen communication from both the Federal and Provincial governments, over the state of
affairs as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic.
Hockey Canada, the OHF and our Member Partners understand the ongoing demand for Coaching
Education programs. Over the past year, a review has been done Nationally on various coaching programs
including the High Performance 1 clinic.
Based on the review, Hockey Canada has approved the High Performance 1 Program be delivered in three parts consisting of recorded modules, on-line virtual, and an in-class portion.
Last year, the decision was made to not facilitate the HP1 clinic, focusing more on getting our players and staff back on the ice in a safe manner. Looking back that was the correct decision as some associations only ran for a short period of time, and some not at all. As we continue to have limits on indoor gatherings (including classrooms) the HP1 clinic will be rolled out a little differently. We are currently investigating a variety of options with the goal of delivering all parts of the HP1 program in an online format for 2021.
