Important Information

• All team members, including family and associated members must behave in an appropriate manner, both on and off the ice in accordance with the ALLIANCE Hockey Codes of Conduct and the City of London R Zone Policy.
• Spectators are NOT allowed in the Event Offices, bench area corridor, change rooms, change room corridor or the timekeeper’s area. NO EXCEPTIONS.
• At no time will any Team members or spectators (including family members) be allowed in or near the referee room(s). NO EXCEPTIONS.
• Only the timekeepers and/or Championship Directorate are to meet with the on-ice officials.
• Only Team Officials are permitted in the Event Office.  

• As per Bulletin #24-013, there will be zero tolerance of inappropriate/excessively loud music in change rooms.
• Side doors to benches must be kept closed when not in use.
• Any damage to the facility by a member may involve immediate removal from the facility for the duration of the Championship. Teams/Members will be responsible for payment of any damage to the facility by any member.
• The Team Trainer has authority on decisions regarding injuries.
• Each Team is responsible for ensuring they have an Emergency Action Plan in place.

General:
• All games will be played by official ALLIANCE Hockey rules except when provided elsewhere as per the Championship guidelines.
• Teams will be required to begin play up to fifteen (15) minutes prior to scheduled game time, other than the first game of the day.
• In the Championship game, the team who finished higher in the round-robin series will be the Home team.
• Time-outs will be permitted in the Quarter-Final, Semi-Final and Final Games - not in Round Robin games.
• 4-Official system for all games.

Team Check-In:
• Approved Rosters are required for ALL teams. No Travel Permits required.
• Team officials must check-in at the Startech.com-Bostwick Championship Directorate Office at least one hour prior to their first game.
• Team Packages/Player gifts will be provided upon check-in prior to your first game.

Discipline:
• If a player or Team Official is ordered to the dressing room for the balance of a game, further disciplinary action may be deemed necessary by the Championship Directorate.
• In all cases, the Ontario Hockey Federation Minimum Suspension Guidelines for Minor Hockey, as approved by the Ontario Hockey Federation Board of Directors for the current season, shall be used as a guideline.
• The Championship Directorate shall rule on all Match Penalties assessed during any game of the Championship series.
• Any player or Team Official under suspension in regular season play is not eligible to participate in any game of the Championship Series until the required number of games has been served.
• In the event the Championship Directorate holds a meeting to review a matter of discipline, the Directorate shall adhere to the guidelines approved by the ALLIANCE Hockey for such matters (Protests 9.6)
• There are no appeals. All decisions of the Championship Directorate and Official(s) are final.
• There shall be no protest on a referee’s discretionary penalty call.
• There shall be no protest on the outcome of the Championship game.
• Fighting will result in an automatic ejection from the Championships.
• Any player leaving the team bench during their game to return to the dressing room must be accompanied by a Team Official.  There shall be NO unattended players.
• Any interactions, verbal or otherwise, in the dressing room corridor, may result in the suspension of players and team personnel involved.

Tie-Breakers:

Round Robin:
• Ties in round robin games will remain a tie with each team earning one point.
• In the event of a tie at the end of the round robin series, for any position, ALLIANCE Hockey Tie Breaking Policy will be used to break the tie. If the procedure reaches 7.1.4, penalty minutes from the Championship event would be calculated to break a tie.

In addition to ALLIANCE Hockey Tie-Breaking Policy the following rules apply to the Quarter-Final, Semi-Final and Championship games;

Overtime:
• At the completion of regulation time where the game is tied, one(1) 10-minute sudden victory 5 v 5 overtime period will be played.
• The teams shall not change ends.
• The puck shall be faced off at center ice and the play shall continue with the ten-minute sudden victory overtime period.

Shoot-Out:
• In the event the game is still tied at the conclusion of the overtime period, the teams will commence a 3-player shoot out. In the event the game is still tied after the 3-player shoot out, each team will continue to shoot, one shooter at a time until one team gains the victory. All players must shoot prior to going back to your first shooter.
• Penalties carry over from regulation into overtime.
• Any player serving a penalty at the end of the 10-minute overtime is not eligible to participate in the shootout.

Game Lengths:
• Round Robin: 10-15-15*, *Floods will occur every 2 periods.
• No Overtime in Round Robin.

• Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, Finals: 10-15-F-15, Floods always after the 2nd period.
• Overtime and Shoot Out as outlined above.

6-TEAM DIVISION:
• (6) teams split into two groups of 3; Group A and Group B
• Round Robin: Three teams in Group A will play each team in Group B

• Quarterfinals:
-Top seed in both Group A and Group B receives a bye to the Semi-Finals
-Quarterfinal #1: Group A 2nd Seed vs Group A 3rd Seed   
-Quarterfinal #2: Group B 2nd Seed vs Group B 3rd Seed

• Semi-Finals:
-Semi-Final #1: Group A 1st Seed bye vs Winner Quarterfinal #1
-Semi-Final #2: Group B 1st Seed bye vs Winner Quarterfinal #2

• Final:   
-Semi-Final #1 Winner vs Semi-Final #2 Winner


5-TEAM DIVISION:
• (5) teams play Round Robin: all teams play each other

• Semi-Finals:
-Semi-Final #1: 1 Seed vs 4 Seed
-Semi-Final #2: 2 Seed vs 3 Seed 

• Final:
-Semi-Final #1 Winner vs Semi-Final #2 Winner

Tailgating:
The consumption of alcohol/prohibitive substance in non-licensed public areas such as arena parking lots is illegal. If Arena staff observe this or receive complaints that it is occurring, they will call the police immediately. Teams who have members that are found violating this policy may find their team removed from the event.

Reminder:
• All team members and associated members must behave in an appropriate manner, both on and off the ice in accordance with the ALLIANCE Hockey Codes of Conduct.
• The Team Trainer has authority on decisions regarding injuries and a player’s ability to continue playing.


The Championship Directorate will not be responsible for any injuries incurred during the event. All precautions will be taken to protect participants.
