2025 ALLIANCE Hockey Annual Meeting Recap
The 2025 ALLIANCE Hockey Golf Classic, Companion Program, Banquet and Annual Meeting concluded this past weekend in London with more than 160 members participating, including special guests and Honourary Life Members.

The 33rd Annual General Meeting was opened by President, Larry Moreland who welcomed the members and thanked them for their tremendous efforts over the past season.

Following the President's address, special guest Darren Stevenson from 519 Sports Online assisted in providing special recognition to the OHF and Regional Championship teams:

U18 AAA Elgin Middlesex Canucks - 2025 Central Region Champions

 
Championship Chair, Jennifer MacDonald had the honour of presenting the 2025 Championship Banners along with President, Larry Moreland.

The following on-ice Officials were also recognized for their notable accomplishments this past season:

ALLIANCE Hockey had tremendous success on and off the the ice and we are proud of all the teams and Officials for their success this past season.

The Executive Director's Report focused on the key successes and challenges experienced over the 2024-25 season. The Report also noted the direction that the organization will follow in the coming seasons and the associated work involved to ensure the intended path is followed.

The delegation was also treated to a special presentation from Hockey Equality's Director of Accountability, Roger Caracciolo. ALLIANCE Hockey was thrilled to have Roger address the audience with some thoughtful and important messaging focusing on the game, players, families and administration.

ALLIANCE Hockey is committed to ensuring that players, families volunteers, officials and administrators alike are supported throughout their hockey journey and is grateful to Roger for providing important information and guidance to the members.

Regional and Committee Reports and Amendments were also provided throughout the Meeting which concluded with the introduction of the 2025-2026 Board of Directors:

Congratulations to the successful incumbents and thank you to all those who stepped forward to pursue a position on the Board!

ALLIANCE Hockey also said goodbye to departing Board Member, Harry Blinkhorn, Representative Council Chair. 

Our sincere appreciation is extended to Harry for his commitment and dedication to ALLIANCE Hockey.

The annual meeting wrapped up with the Honourary Life Member nominations for Dan Gibbons and Keith Woods.

Gibbons has been an ALLIANCE Hockey fixture for many years fulfilling positions on numerous OHF and ALLIANCE Hockey Committees as well as holding the positions of President and Past President.

Woods has spent over six decades as a minor hockey volunteer and has held a variety of roles including Coach, Development Chair, MHA President and Regional Vice-President...just to name a few.

Gibbons and Woods become the Association's tenth and eleventh Honourary Life Members respectively.
