2026 High Performance 1 (HP1) Clinic Dates
High Performance 1 (HP1) Coaching Program clinic dates and application form are now available for the2026 summer period.
The High Performance 1 Coaching Program is an enriched development experience for coaches, which features online virtual, pre-recorded and in-class sessions. A post training written assignment and field evaluation will complete the certification process.
The seminar will be delivered in two parts consisting of a National on-line virtual weekend (May 22nd –
24th, 2026) and an in-class session (July 3rd – 5th, 2026, Toronto, Humber College). This seminar will provide
an exceptional opportunity for coaches to learn and will feature outstanding presenters who have vast
experience within high performance coaching environments. Following the theory, coaches will further
their development by completing, and receiving feedback on, a written assignment with support from a
mentor. Participants will then be provided with an incredible opportunity for growth as a Hockey Canada
trained Evaluator will observe a practice and game and conduct interviews on the ice sessions and the
coach’s overall program. Throughout the process, coaches will be provided with information and tasks
which will challenge them with the goal of furthering key skills including critical thinking, problem solving,
interacting, valuing and leadership.
Please note: Applying does not guarantee participation. Priority will be given to those coaches who require
HP1 training for the 2026-2027 season. The OHF will work back with Members to confirm. Participation in
both the virtual and in-class weekends is required.
