TAKE A SHOT HOCKEY

Take A Shot Hockey is a no cost/barrier free learn to skate/learn to play hockey program for youth between the ages of 8 years and 12 years who are deserving of equity, are underserved, from marginalized communities, and to those who are entitled to reconciliation.

Take A Shot Hockey provides opportunity for individuals or groups who may really want to play the sport of hockey but require a legitimate chance at participation, where typical or traditional youth sports programming may not be able to adequately provide a realistic initial entry point, and ongoing accommodation for these individuals.

Take A Shot Hockey is an entry level/first step gateway program that aims to graduate youth participants into traditional minor hockey programming such as to House League teams in local Recreational Leagues. Take A Shot Hockey provides free access, free opportunity and free hockey equipment for the youth who qualify to be in the program.
