Submitted By ALLIANCE Hockey on Tuesday, April 11, 2017
Kitchener, ON - The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) and ALLIANCE Hockey, in partnership with the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), announced Tuesday the 160 players who will be part of the 2017 OHL Gold Cup, which will be held May 3-7, 2017 at the Activa Sportsplex in Kitchener, Ontario.

The players selected, born in 2001, were selected by the teams' (Member Partner’s and Hockey Canada Branches) appointed Director of Operations, with support from Darrell Woodley, Director of Central Scouting. These players will compete in a 20-game tournament where they will be evaluated by Hockey Canada scouts.

The OHL Gold Cup is an annual event created to feature Ontario’s top Under-16 talent. As part of the Hockey Canada Program of Excellence, players selected from the OHL Gold Cup will be invited to attend the Hockey Canada Under-17 National Camp where they will practice and compete against other players throughout Canada to earn a spot on Team Canada and compete at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
