They played their first game against the Jordan Lions winning 5-2.
They then went on to meet the Vaughan Rangers (Blue) and again were able to win 3-0.
These two wins pushed them to first place overall earning them a day off on Saturday which was spent outside, playing ball hockey.
They were well rested on Sunday morning when they met the Essex Ravens. This game was the semi-final game and as the parents can tell you, was a nail biter. The game went into overtime but again, the Saints pulled together and were able to get the puck into the net first resulting in a 3-2 win. So off to the finals they went, against the Kitchener Jr. Rangers. After a slow start, the team pulled together and came back from three goals down to put the game into overtime. Another nail biter but again, they pulled together, got the puck into the net resulting in the 2016-2017 BCHL PeeWee Select Saints becoming the Champions!!!
Everyone involved with this team, including fans, parents and the coaching staff are so proud of this team. They showed that team work and determination can make dreams come true.
