Stratford, ON - ALLIANCE Hockey kicked off the 2013-2014 hockey season with the Minor
Midget AAA Face-Off September 27-29, 2013 in Stratford. Each team played four games over the three
days, all of which will count towards the League standings.
Kyle Raftis, Director of Recruitment, Education Services & Player Development for the Ontario Hockey League provided a presentation for the players about what the Ontario Hockey League has to offer in terms of education and competition.
Team ALLIANCE U16, Director of Operations Gary McFarlane also provided information to the teams about the Program of Excellence and the 2014 Team ALLIANCE.
“It was a great weekend of Competition and very informative for all involved. The level of play and skill was tremendous. Every team from the OHL was represented, many of scouts were impressed with the caliber of the 1998 age group,” commented Tony Martindale, Executive Director of ALLIANCE Hockey.
The parity of the League was apparent as many of the games were close in score and if this past weekend was any sort of preview for what is to come, the 2013-2014 season should prove to be very exciting.
