In an effort to ensure a positive experience for our players, ALLIANCE Hockey has teamed up with Hockey Canada and our Local Association Member Partners to provide Anti-Bullying and Anti-Harassment Educational Seminars.
These Seminars are player-focused and offer tools and resources for players and teams to deal with situations sometimes present in today’s changing society. By providing education and tools, players and teams will be better prepared to handle any challenges that may happen to surface.
Many Associations including Woodstock Minor Hockey Association and Kitchener Minor Hockey Association have fully embraced the program by mandating that all of their peewee and above teams and their parents/guardians participate in the Seminars. Feedback to date has been very positive and the pro-active approach by these Associations has set the bar high for other Associations within ALLIANCE Hockey.
An article was published November 6, 2013 in the KW Record outlining the KMHA program:

Coach Mike is one of the Seminar's creators and is also a Facilitator responded to the article with this statement: "Congratulations to KMHA on this anti-bullying/harassment initiative - allowing our players to develop in a safe, fun and healthy environment. Go Jr. Rangers and Team ALLIANCE!".
With a team–effort, we can all work towards providing a safe and fun environment for all involved in our great sport!
