The Kitchener Jr Rangers and Waterloo Wolves Minor Bantam AAA teams will play one game on November 24th at 6:00pm at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium to determine who will represent the Tri-Cities in Japan during the 2014 March Break.
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada (TMMC) once again invited the Kitchener Jr Rangers, Cambridge Hawks and Waterloo Wolves AAA Minor Bantam boys to participate in this year's Toyota Hockey Challenge. The winning team from the Toyota Hockey Challenge Championship Game will travel to Hokkaido, Japan during March Break 2014 for a cultural exchange with the Tomakomai Allstars, all expenses paid by TMMC.
March 2014 will mark the ninth time a local team from the Waterloo Region has travelled to Japan for the exchange. A return visit by a Japanese team will be hosted in March of 2015. In 2013 the Tomakomai Allstars travelled to Kitchener and defeated the Junior Rangers in two hard fought games at the Activa Sports Complex.
