It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wendy Dufton, a
longtime VP of Hockey Administration with the London Junior Knights and loving wife of Chuck Dufton, London Junior Knights Midget AAA Head Coach.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Chuck and family at this most difficult time.
Wendy was most recently awarded the OHF Volunteer of the Year Award this past June, a true testament to her years of volunteerism with minor hockey.
Without Wendy there would be no sweaters to put on, a registration taken, or a Midget AAA program of excellence like there is today within the London Junior Knights organization.
We are all indebted to Wendy for her hard work and her leadership over the years.
For those who knew her well, her pride did not come from hockey, but from her wonderful husband Chuck and her boys.
Thank you Wendy for touching so many lives and for your generous contributions. We will miss you.
Wendy Dufton (Epple), died peacefully at home on January 3rd, 2014. Much loved.
An open house celebration of her life will take place from 4-7pm on Sunday January 12th at Medway Arena Banquet Hall, 119 Sherwood Forest Square, London.
A London Junior Knights game to follow at 7:30 pm, with a special dedication to Wendy.
In lieu of flowers the family has set up donations to be made in Wendy’s memory through the Breast Cancer Society of Canada https://secure.bcsc.ca/?p=81&l=35&formid=12
