The 2014 Dodge Caravan Kids Cup Family Hockey Day was held in Brantford on
February 17, 2014 and featured 16 Dodge Caravan sponsored novice teams; 8 teams
from the ALLIANCE and 8 teams from the OMHA. The day was packed with lots
of great hockey and many special events for everyone in the family.
After an exciting group of round robin games, the top 4 teams were determined and the semi-final match ups were set:
Semi-Final A: Brantford Prowlers vs London SSE
Semi-Final B: Barrie DCK vs Grimsby Minions
The Semi-Finals featured some fantastic hockey with Barrie DCK and London SSE coming out on top to advance to the final match up.
The last game of the day did not disappoint! Both teams had great chances and the end-to-end action saw the first period come to a close with Barrie up 4-2. This would prove to be the final score as both goalies kept the opposing teams off the scoreboard throughout the second period. Barrie DCK are your 2014 Dodge Caravan Kids Cup Family Hockey Day Champions!
