The ALLIANCE Hockey Minor Midget AAA League has a total of 12 teams and the All-Star Weekend assists in further showcasing the talent that exists in the League. The Minor Midget AAA All-Star Weekend is also a component of the Program of Excellence which includes the OHL Gold Cup.
2015 OHL GOLD CUP:
The 2015 OHL Gold Cup will feature the top 1999-born players in Ontario competing in a 8-team tournament with representation from each of the following organizations: ALLIANCE Hockey, GTHL(2 teams), HNO, NOHA, HEO and OMHA(2 teams). The tournament is being held to not only showcase Ontario’s top U16 talent, but is an evaluation opportunity for Hockey Canada to select potential players for Canada's 3 teams that will compete in the World Under-17 Challenge. The OHL Gold Cup is a key component of the revamped Hockey Canada Program of Excellence.
2015 TEAM ALLIANCE U16:
Team ALLIANCE U16 will compete in 2015 OHL Gold Cup that will be held in Kitchener, Ontario from May 6-10, 2015.
2015 TEAM ALLIANCE U16 PLAYER SELECTION:
All 1999-born, ALLIANCE Hockey registered AAA players are eligible for Team ALLIANCE U16 as per residential regulations. The Team ALLIANCE Director of Operations will closely follow the Minor Midget AAA League throughout the 2014-2015 season leading up to the OHL Gold Cup. Players not selected to play in the All-Star Weekend are eligible for Team ALLIANCE U16.
At the ALLIANCE Hockey Minor Midget AAA All-Star Weekend each team will be comprised of two goaltenders, six defence and nine forwards selected from the ALLIANCE Hockey 12-team League. Rosters are now posted along with the complete game details here!
