Samsung Helps Empower the Future of Hockey with Two Sarnia Hockey Association Coaches and Their Teams
Recently, two of Sarnia
Hockey Association's long-serving coaches and their teams were selected to be
part of a Hockey Canada / Samsung film. The film crew arrived in early December
and spent a number of days capturing the activities of Coach Ken Ayers and the
Sarnia Sting Minor Midget MD team as well as the Sarnia Sabers Red Peewee House
League team coached by Mike Caron.
The documentary is a part of an initiative by Samsung working in partnership with Hockey Canada to promote Hockey Canada’s Drill Hub, an online resource for coaches. An early result of filming was a 3 minute video clip entitled 'Samsung Helps to Empower the Future of Hockey' that can be viewed on You Tube. A second 30 second video was also produced and available for viewing at sarniahockey.com. Two more short videos plus a commercial due to be shown in the Ottawa area are expected to be released later in January. The Samsung experience was a whirlwind for those who were lucky enough to be involved. Samsung generously provided tablets for members of the minor midget MD team. The members of the Sarnia Sabers Red Peewee House League team were treated to tickets to one of the World Junior Championship games. Not to mention the memories that were made!
