Kitchener, ON - Following a come from behind win against Team HEO yesterday, Team ALLIANCE will face off against Team GTHL BLUE today in the 2016 OHL Gold Cup Final game scheduled for 2:45pm. The game will be aired on Fast Hockey.

Holden Wale racked up two points to lead Team ALLIANCE to a 5-2 victory over Team HEO.
Team ALLIANCE forced Team HEO goalie Marshall Frappier to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Team ALLIANCE found itself short handed often, totaling 18 penalty minutes and allowing six power plays.
Others who scored for Team ALLIANCE included Joel Mazzilli, Tristan De Jong, Eric Guest, and Eric Uba, who scored one goal each. In addition, Team ALLIANCE received assists from Brady MacDonald, Brett Fisher, Mitchell Hoelscher, and Brady Hinz, who each chipped in one.
Team HEO struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 22 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays.
Team HEO was helped by Wil Murray, who racked up one goal and one assist. Murray scored on the power play 11:45 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Team HEO. A tripping penalty on Tyler McBay had put Team HEO on the power play. Merrick Rippon provided the assist. Team HEO also got points from Rippon, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Team HEO came via Liam Peyton and John Beaton, who contributed one each.
Team ALLIANCE's Keaghan Brett stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Frappier rejected 34 shots on goal for Team HEO.
