ALLIANCE Hockey Minor Midget AAA Top 5 Rankings - Week #7
Stratford, ON – ALLIANCE Hockey introduced today the seventh edition of the Minor Midget AAA Top 5 Rankings for the 2016-17 regular season.  The bi-weekly rankings of the ALLIANCE Hockey Top 5 teams are selected by a panel of Coaches and Scouts.

The Road to the OHL Cup - March 14-20, 2017, Toronto, ON:
Three teams from the ALLIANCE are guaranteed a spot in the OHL Cup tournament including the ALLIANCE Hockey Champion and Finalist, along with the winner of a best-of-three Semi-Final Wild Card Series to be played between the losers of the two league Semi-Finals (Series H). 


Wild Card Games:
The final four entries at the 2017 OHL Cup powered by Under Armour will be Wild Cards determined among eight teams that will play a one game ‘win and in’ scenario.  The eight competing teams aiming for the final four tournament spots will continue to include the loser of the ALLIANCE Hockey Semi-Final Wild Card (Series H). 

2017 OHL Gold Cup - May 3-7, 2017
, Kitchener, ON
The 2017 OHL Gold Cup will feature the top 2001-born players in Ontario competing in a 8-team tournament with representation from each of the following organizations: ALLIANCE Hockey, GTHL(2 teams), HNO, HEO, NOHA and OMHA(2 teams).  The tournament is being held to not only showcase Ontario’s top U16 talent, but is an evaluation opportunity for Hockey Canada to select potential players for Canada's 3 teams that will compete in the World Under-17 Challenge.  The OHL Gold Cup is a key component of the revamped Hockey Canada Program of Excellence.  With eight teams and 160 players, the future of Canadian hockey is on display during the 20 games of the OHL Gold Cup.

ALLIANCE Hockey and the Ontario Hockey Federation are hosting the 2017 OHL Gold Cup in Kitchener, Ontario from May 3–7, 2017.
