ON - The ALLIANCE Hockey Under 16 Policy Committee is pleased to announce that
Gary McFarlane (Hamilton) has been named Director of Operations for 2018 Team ALLIANCE U16. McFarlane will re-assume the position as 2017 Team ALLIANCE U16 Director of Operations, David Schlitt stepped away due to other commitments.
"The Committee is pleased to have Mr. McFarlane back on board as Director of Operations for 2018 Team ALLIANCE U16," stated ALLIANCE Hockey President Dan Gibbons. "Mr. McFarlane has demonstrated the leadership and evaluation skills necessary to put a team of players at this level together in such a short period of time. We look forward to working with him throughout the selection process and the event itself."
McFarlane has over a decade of experience with the Program of Excellence and is an integral member of the ALLIANCE Hockey Development Program overseeing and facilitating NCCP Clinics, including the High Performance 1. As Director of Operations, he will assist the Under 16 Policy Committee in coordinating all scouting assignments, training camps and competitive events that the team will be involved with leading up to and at the 2018 OHL Gold Cup hosted in Kitchener.
