Stratford, ON – This past Sunday, November 19, 2017 the Minor Bantam AAA Waterloo Wolves faced off against the Minor Bantam AAA Cambridge Hawks in the 2017 Toyota Hockey Challenge. This was the final match up following a series of round robin games which also featured the Minor Bantam AAA Kitchener Jr Rangers. On the line for the Champion was an all-expenses paid, once-in-a-lifetime trip to Japan courtesy of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada.
The boisterous crowd was entertained with 3 exciting periods of hockey at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. The game was fast-paced and saw back and forth chances from both teams in the first two periods. It was all Waterloo in the third period as they locked down the Championship with 5 straight goals to secure the Championship 7-1.
