Stratford, ON - 37 players from across 11 different ALLIANCE Hockey Minor Midget AAA teams were chosen in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection on Saturday April 7th.
The OMHA Champion York Simcoe Express provided the first two picks of the Priority Selection as Quinton Byfield led off the proceedings being chosen by the Sudbury Wolves before teammate Evan Vierling followed suit going to the Flint Firebirds.
ALLIANCE Hockey - Recap
The 2018 ALLIANCE Hockey Regular Season Champion Cambridge Hawks lead the way with a total of 7 selections, closely followed by the Sun County Panthers with 6 selections and the London Jr. Knights with 5 selections. The 2018 ALLIANCE Hockey Playoff Champion Elgin Middlesex Chiefs saw 4 players selected while the 2018 ALLIANCE Hockey Playdown Champs, the Brantford 99ers had 3 players selected overall. The Chatham-Kent Cyclones, Hamilton Huskies, Huron Perth Lakers, Lambton Jr. Sting, Waterloo Wolves and the Windsor Jr. Spitfires had 2 selections each.
