The Tim Hortons Timbits Hockey Jersey Program is a community-oriented program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league hockey. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends and just being a kid.
Tim Hortons provides hockey jerseys and matching socks, along with participation medals and great support materials, to house league Timbit players in minor hockey associations across the country. Last year alone, more than 100,000 jerseys were distributed to young athletes nationwide.
Adding to the fun, Timbits teams are often invited to attend Hockey Canada events, and games in the Canadian Hockey League and National Hockey League to catch the action and showcase their skills between periods.
