2020 ALLIANCE Hockey AAA, AA & A Shared-Champions
Submitted By ALLIANCE Hockey on Thursday, April 23, 2020
Stratford, ON - On March 13, 2020, the ALLIANCE Hockey season ended abruptly as the result of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Alongside the termination of the season, came the end of the pursuit of a 2020 ALLIANCE Hockey Championship for many teams.  We recognize the resulting disappointment felt by these teams, as there were 21 final series match ups determined (with 1 series down to 3 teams and 1 series down to 4 teams) in the Pavilion, Constellation and Bristol Divisions.

On April 22, 2020, the ALLIANCE Hockey Board of Directors and Representative Council approved a decision to award all 45 teams reaching the 2020 ALLIANCE Hockey final Series in the Pavilion, Constellation and Bristol Divisions with Championship hats to celebrate their successful seasons.

“We are pleased to be able to provide these teams with Championship hats as a token to highlight their successful seasons,” noted ALLIANCE Hockey Executive Director Tony Martindale.  “We know that it takes a lot of hard work and commitment to persevere through the Playdowns and we hope that all teams are proud of their accomplishments.”

Congratulations to all teams on a successful season!

Shared-Champions Teams are encouraged to send team photos to ALLIANCE Hockey Twitter @ALLIANCE_Hockey and Instagram @alliance_hockey feeds so we can share your success!

Please NOTE:
The decision to name Champions in AAA and Seeded (AA, A) was in part because we were down to two or three teams in those categories.
Our MD division finalists unfortunately, were not yet determined.
At Minor Novice MD, there are no "Champions" (we do not keep score) and the teams would normally participate in the Minor Novice Jamboree.
At Novice Tier 1 and Tier 2 MD the teams would normally participate in the MD Championships.
All Regular Season MD Champions will receive a Banner and individual plaques.
