2020 ALLIANCE Hockey Virtual AGM Concludes
The 2020 ALLIANCE Hockey AGM, celebrating 27 years of ALLIANCE Hockey, looked a little different this year without the annual Golf Classic, Recognition Banquet and in-person Saturday morning meeting.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 ALLIANCE Hockey AGM was virtually hosted on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 with more than 130 members participating.
The virtual Meeting was opened by special guest and Hockey Canada CEO Tom Renney who provided the welcome address.
Executive Reports, Committee Reports, Notices of Motions and the introduction of the 2020-2021 Executive Committee were provided throughout the Meeting.
The Executive Director's Report focused upon the future of minor hockey and the impact of COVID-19 on all aspects of the game.
Five ALLIANCE Hockey Executive positions were open for election including; President, Vice-President Region #2, Vice-President Region #4, Representative Council Chair and Recreational Council Chair. All positions were filled by acclamation except for Sr Vice-President and Recreational Chair which were appointed.
The positions of Treasurer, Chairperson of Appeals and Technical Director - Officials, were also appointed.
