Recertification Clinic Registration Fees:

HCOP ONLINE RECERTIFICATION CLINIC $15.38 Requirement for all returning officials to complete at their current Level
*Completion of registration and payment will make the official eligible to start officiating
LEVEL 1 IN-PERSON RECERT CLINIC $85.00 For current Level 1 Officials wishing to recertify their Level 1 certification
*Official under the age of 16 as of December 31, 2025
LEVEL 1-NHP IN-PERSON RECERT $150.00 For current Level 1-NHP Officials wishing to recert at their current level
*Officials who are 16 years of age or older as of December 31, 2025 
LEVEL 2 IN-PERSON UPGRADE/RECERT $150.00 For current Level 1 Officials wishing to recertify & upgrade to Level 2
*Officials must be 16 years of age or older as of December 31, 2025 

NOTES:

Level 1 Officials, 16 years of age or older as of December 31, 2025, wishing to recertify and upgrade to Level 2 will need to register and complete the Level 1 HCOP Online
Course and then register for the 
Level 2 in-person Recert/Upgrade Clinic.
A qualifying official who is unable to attend the Level 2 in-person Recert/Upgrade Clinic should register for the Level 1 Recert.
There will be an opportunity to attend a future Level 2 Upgrade Clinic to be held in the first half of the season (details to be announced).

As a returning Official, it is your responsibility to be prepared for the examination, which is completed during the online 
recertification course. Participants must achieve a minimum of 80% on the HCOP exam to successfully pass.

REQUESTS FOR REFUNDS, whether due to payment error or any other reason, will be subject to an administration fee of
$26.00.  Refunds will NOT be provided once you have logged into the online recertification course.

Recertification clinics are only for currently certified HCOP officials
. Please do not advise new officials wishing to get started in the
        Officiating Program to register for any of the online recertification courses. Interested individuals should contact their local referee
        association for information on becoming a referee.


HCR ACCOUNT:

The Hockey Canada Registry is the registration database used for officials; officials are only required to create a new account if not already completed.

OHF SCREENING POLICY:

Officials 18 years of age or older who do not have a valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) on file or have an expired VSC will not be eligible to register or officiate until they have submitted a current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) per the OHF Screening Policy.

RECERTIFICATION PROCESS:

Please follow the Registration Steps below in sequence to avoid any issues or delays with your registration:

STEP 1: Complete the OHF Recertification Clinic & HCOP Exam
Officials are required to complete the online recertification clinic and exam before stepping on the ice.
Once you have completed the registration, you may access the online clinic by logging into your HCR account and looking under the schedule tab.

•  Open to all current Level 1 Officials wishing to recertify and upgrade to a Level 2 who are 16 years of age or older as of
December 31, 2025.  
All officials are required to register and complete the Level 1 HCOP Online Recertification Course before registering.
•  *NOTE - Officials attending one of these clinics are not required to attend one of the listed above in-person recertification clinics.
