ALLIANCE Hockey acknowledges that Stratford is located on land that was shared between the Neutral (Attawandaron), Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples. It is also important to acknowledge that the Office building is on territory governed by two treaties: The Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant of 1701, made between the Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, and the Huron Tract Treaty of 1827, an agreement made between eighteen Anishinaabek Chiefs and the Canada Company. Today, this land is still home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to live, work, and play on this land.
